Under Water Inspection
Water systems relying on a single storage tank often experience operational difficulty removing the tank from service for inspection. Standard inspection, disinfection and sampling requirements usually result in a tank being out of service for a minimum of 4 days. During that time, single tank systems must operate with constant pumping and pressure relief valves. This wastes power and water along with significantly reducing firefighting capacity. For these reasons underwater inspections which require the tank to be out of service for only a few hours are often preferred.
